Combined with the seat cushion, this solved my back problems with this chair. Instead of paying over $500 for an office/gaming chair that I might have trouble with. I first started with a chair that had good reviews but wasn't too expensive. It was well built, but my upper and lower back hurt after a short period of use. I then added a Sparthos lumbar pillow which helped a little but didn't completely fix the problem. I added some soft armrests and finally a purple seat cushion and all my problems were solved. So I spent about $450 on everything and would be hard pressed to find a more comfortable chair at any cost. If you need lumbar support, the Sparthos pillow is for you.
