Well I've noticed metal shavings in the collector which certainly wouldn't be good if they got into the AC system I'm charging. But for the price I find it unbeatable. I was just practicing taking a good look at your lower end and even expensive instruments these days. I've disassembled the distributor, cleaned it and used it a few times and it seems to be working fine.
