I am really impressed with this cat carrier. The features incorporated into its design really go beyond what you see on most lager carriers, and the quality of materials and workmanship seems pretty well thought out too. Supports that you add along the top two edges. The cat carrier I'm replacing had no construction and has fallen on it a lot, so that's a great feature. Second, the site on display is great! I think the design could have been a bit better because you have to unpack the extension from the inside. If you have a cat that likes to take it out, you might not want to risk opening the carrier just to open the extension. But constantly opening the extension isn't very good either. So! It's a nice feature if it's convenient to use. Even with such a mediocre design oversight, I still think it's a 5 star product. Third, the interior feels very roomy with or without the extension, and the floor is lined with faux Sherpa. It can be removed when you need to pack or clean the carrier. I haven't had to clean any crashes yet, so I'm not sure how easy it is to clean, but it doesn't look like it's going to be too difficult. The interior is also waterproof, especially on the underside. Thanks for that! Fourth, the carry handles and straps are very comfortable, and the strap connections feel really solid. The comfortable cushion on the strap feels comfortable. Fifth, the mesh top, sides and flares are great for ventilation and give kitties plenty of room to observe. I have kittens who don't particularly like car rides, but it helps if they can see the other passenger or me, so this feature is really important. Finally! Yes, finally! So many storage bags. Much attention has been paid to external storage pockets and a luggage handle sleeve. They have a durable exterior drawstring zip pocket for cleaning, a small mesh pocket with elastic strap, and a wider flat mesh pocket on the side. All in all, this is an impressive tote bag. I think both cats will be much more comfortable in this one than the other one we have, so I might as well just go with the second one!
