If you like listening to audio books, don't buy this. I've been using Sansa MP3 players for many years and I really like them. It's terrible. I sent the first one back for an exchange and the replacement had the same issues. 1. The sleep function does not work. When I got the replacement I immediately tried a 10 minute timer and it worked, but then at night I tried a 20, 30, 45 minute timer and it worked all night and disturbed my sleep . It turned off at different times the next morning eg after 8, 10 hours even though it was charged. 2. No bookmark. The Lord will help you when you don't remember where you left off. 3. Randomly jumps to the middle of the next track or to other sections. If you're not paying close attention, you won't understand that you're missing out on a lot of the story. You have to go through all the books to find the one that says "summary". The bookmark will take you there. Switching to another medium, like music or FM radio, doesn't automatically take you back to your book or the title you used when flipping back to books. If you didn't mark where you left off, you'll have to browse each title until you see a continue button. 5. Exquisitely more responsive than previous models, so the slightest movement pushes the controls. You have to block it to stop it, but that doesn't stop the device from to jump forward and skip it yourself. 5. Finally, several reviews have mentioned that it does not support audiobooks downloaded from the library via Overdrive. Well, with all the above problems I managed to download the book in MP3 format but when I got to the last chapter of the great thriller it just stopped with an error message saying the format is not supported. I listen to audio books while swimming. This device just didn't work. Shame on Sandisk for planting this piece of crap on their loyal customers. Do you care about your reputation?
