Review on adidas Unisex-Child Hoops 2.0 Mid Basketball Shoe: Performance, Style & Comfort by Sasha Hsiao

I bought these for my 3 year old daughter to play basketball. They are very cute and the size seems to be accurate; However, I was very disappointed to discover that these were not lace-up shoes as shown in the picture (there was no mention of velcro in the description for this particular style like other models that showed velcro in pictures). Velcro is much easier to put on, but the shoes are not suitable for sports. Because the Velcro only tightens the shoe at the top of the foot, the ankle area is left quite bulky and loose and protrudes too much, making it difficult for a three-year-old to walk naturally and safely. I was thinking about keeping them for everyday use because they are really cute and easy to put on for my daughter, but when I noticed that the price had increased two days after I ordered/the day I received the shoes when $10 dropped (which is so disappointing in general but even more so when the product doesn't perform as expected) I now plan to go back and look elsewhere.
