Customer service is excellent.

I got this EPever Tracer AN Quick after I ordered it. I'm not ready to set it up yet, but wanted to test something today (Sunday). Looking at this consideration for purchase, I read a review that said the screws that attach the cables to the battery were difficult to tighten and I wanted to see if they were the same. I removed the cover and tried to turn the screw and of course they were difficult to turn, I couldn't turn them at all. So I contacted the company (Ysolar) and figured I'd hear from them in a day or two. , a little later I checked my email and they already sent me a message wanting to help. I told them what was going on and they wanted me to check something and I did and did what they said. I noticed that the screws were already tightened. I loosened them up and they work great now. What a relief, I really didn't want to send this controller back. Can't wait to get it working. I don't have everything yet. This week I'll get what I need and post an update so you know how it works. It's now 11pm and I just got the last email from customer service. Because of this, I have a good feeling about this charge controller. At least I know that when I'm having problems, I don't lose sleep because of it. I know they'll be right there to help. Update: 8/4/19 - I installed and ran it. It's been like this for about two weeks now. My solar panels are rated 18.2V 5.5A and I have 6. I have 4 batteries 12V 100Ah and I use my fridge I think it's 21 cubic feet it uses 6.5 amp, a small freezer and charges 2 phones and two laptops. my television, dishwasher and internet. my radio and lights, my phone booster and I have extra power. When I get up in the morning, my batteries have 12.4 volts. The MT50 remote control is great. I built a small stand for it and it sits on a table where I can easily see it. I'm using a longer ethernet cable instead of the one that came with the kit (cable is 100ft long. Most of it is twisted). I already had it. All I need is about 15 feet. This MPPT charge controller is the way to go. In the morning, before the sun hits my panels, it delivers 18 volts. When the sun hits the panels the amps go up, around noon I saw 36.4 amps. So that's more than the panels are charged for. (5.5 x 6 = 33) I'm new to solar so I don't know much about it but I'm very happy with this setup. I got this 80 amp EPever Tracer from YSolar. Their customer support team gave me advice that helped me get set up. I have an 80 amp charge controller and figured I'd need more panels later. I'm glad I got these. But if you must know, you can connect multiple charge controllers in parallel. I could get by with a 40 amp controller. I read somewhere that MPPT charge controllers are most effective in cold weather, cloudy or foggy days. I forgot to say I used 2AWG wire from the panels to the charge controller. I saw a chart that said 4AWG might have been a bit light for the distance I travelled. If anything happens or goes wrong I will update again. said I get up to five tenths of an amp. That's 0.005 amps. I thought the solar panels had failed and contacted the seller but in the meantime I cycled the switch and it worked again. it happened again and i did it again and it fixed it. Well I checked the MT50 meter today and it only showed 0.4 amps. I checked the cable and fuse. The controller received 20.2 volts from the panels but only 3 volts from the batteries. I have sent a message to Y-Solar. After a while I came up and checked again and it was the same. Gosh, I tapped the side of the controller lightly a few times and it started working. It makes me think there might be some kind of louse in there. I will wait to hear from you and see what you say before doing anything else. I'll let you know. I called support and told them about my problem. They said to check my cables. I did and found that one had a problem. I changed it and it solved my problem. Customer service is great! Update: 10/21/2020 - Thought you might be interested. The charge controller still works perfectly.
