Installed 9 of these lights in my house. Once you've drilled the (dusty) hole, the hardest part is over. I bought a dimmer, which I can also recommend. I bought warm lamps and couldn't be happier. I have plasterboard ceilings and 1/2" drywall on top, 2 1/2" overall thickness. I bought a Milwaukee 6" hole saw. The problem is that none of the 6 1/4" hole saws would last long. So if you are using a 6 inch saw you will need to enlarge the hole to fit. If you have plastered ceilings, I guarantee almost any 6 inch corn hole saw will not work. Despite the hassle of drilling holes, I highly recommend these fasteners.
