We've had this outlet for less than a month and so far have only used the USB ports and an outlet on it, all for tablet charging for my children. We noticed a burning smell this morning and unplugged the white plug pictured (which was not plugged in to charge anything at the time) to find burn marks on both the power strip and the plug. It's hard to tell from the photo, but one of the pins on the plug itself has partially melted, as if the extension cord was not making good internal contact and arcing occurred. The house security has also failed. Now the charging cable is broken and I can't trust the extension cable. We were lucky that we were at home and didn't sleep, otherwise our house could burn down (this happened around 6:30 am). I would not trust this product or this company.
