For several years I had to commute to work under difficult conditions. I quickly realized that if I was going to be walking that far by bus/train/walking every day, a nice big purse wouldn't help and I would need to take a backpack with me to maintain my health. All this time, this backpack practically does not wear out. I can hardly believe it. I see slight signs that the nylon strap on the regulator was carrying heavy things, but I only noticed this while looking for what was wrong with it. I'm a petite woman and I bought the normal size at first but it took me by surprise; the compact was perfect for me and holds so many things. It's waterproof, but not waterproof; Some very heavy downpours had gone a mile, getting a little damp inside. But even then, my laptop stayed dry, in a bag behind my back. I would have to work hard for the stains to stick to it; He always looks clean and tidy despite all the crap he's been through. I would highly recommend this backpack especially to super passengers. (Also, my heart goes out to you. Be strong and I hope you manage to escape.) <3
