Backpack for a few years. I really liked it at first, but after a year or so the zippers started to wear out and loosen making the bags unusable. I contacted Incase for support as otherwise it's a great bag. In response, they offered me a replacement coupon. Tried some corrections myself, to no avail. It's a shame such a small issue makes the backpack difficult to use and this bag doesn't stand behind their products.

Pros
  • Practical thing

  • No gun

Slim design, very compact, plenty of storage space

Just received today and loved it! Seems to be great quality. My 14" laptop fits comfortably in, and I've added a light jacket, hat, full pencil case, InCase accessory pouch, notepad, laptop battery and cable, and another small pocket in the main compartment - and it is still space. Zippered compartment for small parts at the top. Wallet and USB sticks in top split front pocket and documents in other split front pocket. All that and the bag stays compact with a sleek, beautiful design. And it…

Highly Recommended!: Backpacks

Minimalist. Beautiful design. nice material. I love the THICK nylon handle on top. The straps are comfortable. Small and compact but so roomy. Smaller padded plush interior pockets, not as many pockets as kids backpacks these days. But there are enough pockets to stash the things you usually carry with you. The laptop sleeve is durable and perfect for 13" and 15" MacBooks. absolutely love it. Probably comfortably holds 3 1" to 2-1/2" thick textbooks as well as a laptop, pencils, phone, wallet…

Pros
  • Rugged Construction
Cons
  • Unreliable

Helps with back problems, great student size

I love this backpack. I use it to carry my laptop and some notebooks to school. I like the easy access front pockets - I usually slip my iPad in there for easy access on the subway. I used to have back pain when bending over with my old Everlane pack, but with this Incase pack I no longer have that type of pain. I'm 5ft 1in so this backpack is the perfect size to carry loads of school stuff without looking like a kid with a huge bag (little girls know what I'm talking about). Size so if you…

Durable versatile backpack.

Excellent backpack. It has a pocket for every device I carry with me. My work laptop is 14.5″ and its highest point, 18″, the City Compact fully protects it. I can carry my work laptop, Wacom tablet and in-ear headphones in the main pocket, each with its own compartment. Great. The top has a pocket for quick grab. I keep house keys, lip balm, work IDs in there. The front pocket protects the iPad very well thanks to a small padded pocket. I fit an 11 inch iPad Pro and I'd say it could probably…

Minimalist design with military-grade functionality

I bought this backpack hoping it would become a simple everyday bag. It has a minimalist look and plenty of storage space and some nice features like a soft fabric center pocket and a laptop compartment. Unfortunately, the functionality of the backpack is minimal. Obviously, this backpack isn't designed for day trips or other activities that require a moderately full bag. The front pocket has a fairly small opening compared to the depth of the pocket, making it difficult to fish out anything…

  • Quick Change

100 miles per day for 3 years

For several years I had to commute to work under difficult conditions. I quickly realized that if I was going to be walking that far by bus/train/walking every day, a nice big purse wouldn't help and I would need to take a backpack with me to maintain my health. All this time, this backpack practically does not wear out. I can hardly believe it. I see slight signs that the nylon strap on the regulator was carrying heavy things, but I only noticed this while looking for what was wrong with it…

A decent backpack for everyday backpacking

Solid 3-3.5 stars. I use this for school. Pros: Very protective. The whole backpack has a thick hem that protects the laptop bag from bumps and more. The laptop compartment is lined with soft faux fur. The front pocket has a decent organization system. It fits all my stationery and other things I need every day. The size is perfect for me. If you have a heavy directional load or are carrying a lot of things, this bag is not for you. Although it's a bit long for me. I'm 5'8", so if you're too…

Pros
  • LONG-LASTING DURABILITY: Made from durable 270 x 500D polyester blend fabric.
Cons

The backpack has officially been reinvented!

UPDATE: Changed from 5 to 4 stars. I've only used this backpack a few dozen times since I bought it (I don't use it every day) So it's still very new.The other day I went to the top pocket zipper and the lace broke (see photo).I can't fix it as the cord is welded to the inside of the plastic tongue. How are they made so cheap? It is an $80 backpack Tips/First Impressions: IMPORTANT: This is a really thin laptop backpack AND IS NOT a regular sized backpack that "also fits a laptop" It makes sense?

Pros
  • COMPACT, SIMPLIFIED STORAGE: Ideal for city dwellers who prefer a compact carrying solution, features a zipped front compartment with organizational features and a spacious main compartment for MacBooks, iPads, documents and more, as well as dedicated pockets to organize additional accessories. and other important things. Interior laptop compartment fits a 16" MacBook.

Durable and beautiful, with enough space!

I purchased the Incase City Collection compact backpack after the strap on my previous backpack broke. I was looking for a bag that is sturdy, not bulky and good looking. This Incase backpack is exactly that! I am a student and I work both on the computer and on paper. I needed a backpack that would fit a 15 inch laptop along with thin folders, binders and notepads. I was hesitant to purchase this version of the City Pack because of its compact size, but I'm glad I chose it because of its size.

Pros
  • SLEEK, COMFORTABLE DESIGN: Incase has created a compact city backpack with sleek design lines and a slim, compact profile, while providing the essential storage space every traveler needs. It also features adjustable shoulder straps for added comfort and a customized fit.
Cons
  • Discontinued
