Review on πŸ”Ί Enhanced Upgradable Pyramid Mainboard Printing by Flavio Scarola

Excellent printer, nothing to do with Prusa

Bought this printer about a month ago. I am impressed with the quality and the print area. I think the manufacturer should just say that this is another brand's Creality CR-10 Version 2. it's a CR-10. If you want to upgrade to direct drive and automatic bed leveling, get these from Creality. I ordered them, about $100, I will update them after install. The only thing I want to say to everyone is that the first thing you will do to make your prints work better is make the case. If you're in the States, after watching a (pretty good) assembly video you'll find the switch on the back to get it working from 110. It took me 20 minutes. Update: I've had the printer for about 4 months. now. i still like it They updated the version to 1.1 which has a direct drive extruder which is a nice addition. The white hose (Bowden hose) that you see in some photos is spared. This makes it better for PETG and flexible filaments. I also found out that you can order and get a WIFI board for $40, which I like. This is because one of the upgrades they added is the Robin Nano 1.2 motherboard. That's a definite plus, even if you never climb inside. I'll also add a direct drive, if you're printing PLA you don't need an enclosure. Two things I recommend now: Get an 18-inch square paver out of the big carrying case. Then take some kind of rubber pad (I have an exercise mat left over). Put them under the printer and the noise will drop to near zero and your prints will be better. Second, build yourself a strong table. In the photo you can see mine, made from 2x4 and a half OSB board. It is very good that there is a place for a printer and light. First of all, 3D printing is a manual, industrial thing. Expect lots of print learning, messing around and losing 1/2 to 2/3 of your prints when you figure it out. .So don't buy this (or any other) 3D printer thinking you'd just start printing. It's not a laser printer. The second downside is that with all the great parts they put in this printer, Z-axis motors are cheap. Not scary, but noticeable, especially if you're trying out big prints. On the other hand, you should be prepared to do a lot spend more if you want all quality parts.
