Review on Keep your Herbs Fresh for Weeks with NOVART XXL Premium Glass Herb Keeper and Storage Container by Carlos Deuschle

Nice design and works well. The container is well built, sturdy and looks a lot better in my fridge than the plastic cup I use to store herbs/asparagus. Arrived quickly and well packaged with no problems. Fair warning, the container is high. If you can stand a bottle of wine upright on a shelf, that's a good indicator of whether this container will fit. My fridge has adjustable shelves so I can adjust things by height (and now I have the added benefit of being able to stack wine bottles vertically in the fridge, bonus!). I currently keep asparagus in a container and this has worked really well. They stay upright and crispy and are easily accessible (that's how I use asparagus, weird?). I like that the inner mug has a little ridge that hooks onto the top of the glass. This allows you to leave the container open on the counter and have better access to the contents. The only problem I see with this is that if you have a lot of leafy herbs (I tried sticking on a large bunch of flat-leaf parsley and a bunch of cilantro), closing the container and leaving the herbs in the bottom cup a little is tricky. I found that when I lowered the inner cup back down, the leafy parts of the herbs were sticking to the sides of the container and pulling the stems out of the water. This probably wouldn't be an issue if I had fewer leaves or used it on herbs that aren't as leafy. I've seen it work great with basil, thyme, mint, etc., but not with my copious amounts of fluffy greens. Very happy with the purchase and would buy another to hold the above herbs as my fridge is already set to the correct height.
