I really liked this herb holder, despite my initial concerns about the fragility of the glass and the size. It just worked so well. But when I recently pulled it out to use, the metal tube and base came loose. There was some gross mold. When I removed the pipe from the top there was mold/growth as well. OMG THIS IS AWESOME. Ok I was skeptical but I gave it a try because the reviews were pretty good. No one seemed seriously disappointed with anything other than size. I personally think the size is necessary, not the space pig. I have it on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator door and everything is fine with it. Nice design and works well. The container is well built, sturdy and looks a lot better in my fridge than the plastic cup I use to store herbs/asparagus. Arrived quickly and well packaged with no problems. Fair warning, the container is high. If you can stand a bottle of wine upright on a shelf, that's a good indicator of whether this container will fit.
