This is the third Dell adapter I have had to replace. I bought the computer in August 2018. The original adapter stopped working before the warranty expired. It took months of troubleshooting to determine the cause. Non-OEM adapters don't work (one of the reasons I will never buy a Dell laptop again). This adapter replaces the adapter I bought in March 2020 which was supposed to replace the one I bought in October 2019. I have no problems with my other adapters or laptops - the machine is very rarely used, never traveled, and yet the Dell adapters seem designed to fail. It's a shame because I remember the days when it was a strong brand, easy to update and fix, it was reliable. . . no longer.
