I’m actually using the keyboard from this unit to write this!I really like how this folio style case is of a material that would be easy to wipe down if necessary. The keyboard’s backlight turns off to save battery power when not typing, and it has an easy on/off switch to save overall battery when not in use. The folio flap also acts as an extension of the case to keep your keyboard attached the unit. It’s not a light case, and folded is about the width of an older laptop. I was able to fold the case and flap in on itself easily when not using the keyboard.What I really love, and the first reason for my choice, was storage for the pencil that didn’t keep it connected to the iPad, saving the battery health of both items. It’s quick and easy to pop the pencil out, and the case is slim enough on the exterior side that the pencil easily attaches for charging. The case itself is a slim, snug fit to the iPad, allowing access to all exterior buttons without adding bulk and protecting all corners. The second reason was the backlit keyboard, which is pretty standard for small Bluetooth keyboards. I actually really like this one, compared to other "travel” keyboards I’ve had. The top of the keyboard has small rubber feet that will prevent damage to the iPad screen when closed and missing the silicon keyboard cover.What I found slightly annoying is that the keyboard that came with my unit isn’t perfectly flat, so I couldn’t use it detached on a hard shiny surface without it moving around, like a dinning table, but I fixed that by using the silicone keyboard cover underneath. I’m not annoyed enough to return it.If the manufacturer ever wanted to step up their game on this case, make the iPad case itself magnetically detachable from the folio.
