In a review, someone suggested using decoupage as a coating first before writing on the hearts and circles to help prevent the ink from bleeding and I think that was the best advice. Yes, the letters started to run and after I did this, it was perfect.The shapes come in a sheet of wood to punch out. The actual board is thin so it feels cheap, however, it looks great. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother in law and after receiving it, decided I'll buy one for myself as well.
