Review on Bottom Rubber Outer MacBook Screwdriver by Rashid Vaquera

Former Mac Genius and Apple consultant here. The real legs are nice in that they are the right size and shape to stick to the outside of the lower case, they have a small round tab for alignment and the glue seems fine. And not only are they made of cheap hard plastic, they also have a certain toughness. So they're good enough for me, but I expect to have to replace them sooner than I'd like. Because, as others have pointed out, they are not properly fastened inside. Due to the irregular shape of the two different pieces, I found the pieces that were supposed to fit inside to be useless. So I just attached the legs with the supplied tape, taped them to the bottom/outside of the case and then covered them from the inside with Kapton tape. I used Kapton tape to provide a bit of structural support, but mainly so that if/when any part of those legs rips into small pieces inside the case, the tape keeps those small pieces from coming loose inside the laptop what rattling noises and noises/or grinding noises in the cooling fan. For those wondering, the actual Apple OEM feet for these unibody MacBook Pros are made to basically pinch 1) the feet 2) the bottom of the case and 3) the inner mounting plastic circle. (Apple also supplies a round protective tape that you stick on the inside of the case). Both the outer leg and the inner bracket are larger in diameter than the hole in the case. So if you glue the two main parts of the leg together the leg will stay in place pretty securely and you don't have to put any glue on the leg Aluminum case back. The original Apple feet also have double-sided tape that attaches the parts to the case. I know people get these legs sometimes, like my 7 year old MacBook Pro, but there would be many more cases like this if it were just stickers. Too bad there doesn't seem to be an aftermarket manufacturer that comes close to the original. Oh, and one more thing: the screws on the bottom of the case appear to be identical to the original. The small #00 screwdriver is cheap, cheap, cheap, but it will do the job for you if you don't have a better screwdriver.
