Description of Bicool High-Precision AD HAT For Raspberry Pi 4B/3B+/3B/2B/Zero/Zero W/Zero WH And Jetson Nano

Adopts ADS1263 chip, low noise, low temperature drift, 10-ch 32-bit high precision ADC (5-ch differential input), 38.4kSPS Max sampling rate, with embedded 24-bit auxiliary ADC, internal ADC test signal, IDAC, 2.5V internal reference voltage, 8x multiplexing GPIO, PGA (32 times Max). Onboard AD header input, compatible with Waveshare sensor pinout, for connecting sorts of sensor modules. Onboard AD screw terminal input, allows connecting analog signal and analog power supply, general purpose interface. Onboard control header, make it easy to control the module by other hosts in additional to Raspberry Pi. Three-wire RTD (resistor temperature detector) circuit, enabled by soldering 0R resistor.

Works well with Raspberry Pi

Works well with Raspberry Pi with two 24V stepper motors Sample code is available on the vendor's wiki page. These hats don't seem to stack.

Pros

Cons

Works fine for environmental monitoring

Connected to my Raspberry Pi and the example code worked without any modifications. One day the developers gave me a written license for the code, modified it to monitor Nagios and it worked like clockwork.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • confusing

Great sensor, set up but no documentation

I bought this for a college class. The best part is that no soldering is required, everything is neat and ready to be connected to your Arduino or your Raspberry Pi like I did in the photo. The bad thing is that there is documentation or lack thereof. That's why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. I was able to record instant data like temperature and humidity, but like printing, it wasn't all that easy. In general, if you only need it for those sensors (temperature and humidity), go ahead…

Pros
  • single board computer
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Pros
  • 3-wire RTD (Resistance Temperature Sensor) circuit connected by soldering a 0R resistor
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Failed to start

Been working on this for three days, trying everything possible. I've tried many other motor drivers with both Raspberry Pi and Arduino and never had so many headaches. The documentation is bad. After all, I've never managed to get a stepper motor to spin; he just twitched back and forth. [Using Raspberry Pi 4B]

Pros
  • Screw terminal input on AD board, allows analog signal and power, universal interface
Cons
  • Big and bulky
