    Make Your Own Pee Hats

These things are great! All rivets are marked and easy to assemble. I used it to build a Pi Hat for my Openhab system by soldering a TX/RX Superheterodyne RF module to drive 433MHz devices. Another one I used to make a hat to control some ws2811 led strings. Both work great. Comes with mounting hardware so it has a solid connection to the Pi.GPIO/Power, everything is labeled. Very easy to use. I still have 2 but if I need more I'll buy more.

Excellent Prototype PCB for Raspberry Pi Hat

This board has good design and quality. It is double sided and easy to solder. I used one to add 8 A/D channels with the MCP3008. Works perfectly.

    Handy layout, great dividers

Minor quibble, I've never used individual pad sections on dividers; I want at least 3 pin tires. That being said, this board is well thought out down to the last detail, offers good connectivity and has nice markings.

The best since a sliced bread board.

I am building controllers using a Raspberry Pi 3 and used jumpers to connect to the Pi until I found them. The circuit boards are very well designed, every hole is soldered and ready for soldering. All external connections to relays, opp, ph, tds and more are jumpered onto this small board. This makes it easy to service the Pi, including swapping it out. It was so easy that I rebuilt another controller with this board. I will never create a Pi project again without this board. The connectors…

    Reasonable quality for the price

The boards themselves are made of a nice thick FRN and the headers, screws and racks are of good quality. I wish the screws were 2-3mm longer but they fit well. I also like the layout of the board with rails for 3.3V and 5V and a ground rail on the other side of the board to avoid potential short circuits. My only real complaint is that the pads aren't particularly durable if you need to remove components or wires after soldering. With my iron set at 400°C I tried to move the part of the pad…

Good price for a useful item

Nice to get four at this price. I wish the 40 pin headers were already soldered, but that would certainly increase the cost - and you still get these boards because you love soldering! The boards are sturdy and come with spacers for extra stability. The conductive traces withstood heating with a soldering iron (conductive traces can peel off on junk boards). Buy them because one day you will use all four.

    Pros
    • Many will do
    Cons
    • So-so

These are good boards but the AMS1117 part (fixed linear regulators) for 3.3 and 5V outputs is rated for 1A only. The Raspberry Pi can definitely draw more current, especially if you have peripherals plugged into the USB port etc. Be careful - the seller should make the current rating clearer in the listing.

    Good for what you paid

In general these are high quality boards. Good layout, well-plated through-holes, and practical design considerations are implemented. However, there are a few downsides. First, the GP24 isn't removed from the 40-pin connector (I suspect they didn't have enough room for another attachment point). A jumper can be used if necessary. But first I'm concerned about bad grounding. Only one ground connection is used (on the 40-pin connector is 8 GND). Stable bases stabilize noise. You could add…
