Review on Sceptre C325B-144R: Advanced FreeSync HD Display with Wall Mounting and Tilt Adjustment by Nate Degenhardt

Revainrating 1 out of 5

A good price for decent performance, but there's just no quality control.

I liked the monitor, it would be good if it wasn't for the terrible quality control. There are a few dead pixels around the edge of the screen that I wouldn't notice on my own, but there are also a few spots on the screen with spots that look like snot has dried on the screen, but they're under the panel. and cannot be cleaned. I found the picture quality otherwise good, but having returned that and got a 144Hz Samsung QLED instead (which is perfect on the first try, not a single dead pixel or spot on the first one I got), the picture quality is bad of this world on the Samsung compared to the Scepter, and it wasn't even priced that much more expensive. I think it comes down to you getting what you pay for, although I might get lucky with the Scepter, but even if it didn't have dead pixels and blemishes, the picture quality wouldn't even come close to the slightly more expensive Samsung. I got. I'm sending the monitor back for a refund and just get a different brand because while it was a good price I just don't want to swap monitors for weeks or more and hope to get one with no defects. Also, the warranty only covers dead pixels if there are more than 5 of them, which is pretty ridiculous. So take a good look at the screen before the return period is up as Scepter won't help you even if the entire screen has dead pixels and they want you to pay to ship the monitor to them, which yes, that is absolutely normal. but it won't be cheap.

Pros
  • gaming video
Cons
  • Motion Blur: If the resolution is set too low, the display may appear blurry or pixelated.
