My mother had a blanket with a very similar pattern when I was growing up, so I liked this pattern The coat came in a plastic bag and was tied with a ribbon One side of this blanket is very similar to a blanket. Rough, thick fabric. On the other hand, fluffy soft faux fur, warm and cuddly. Together it seems a little out of place. . . I understand that heavy fabric is needed to hold the pressure, but it's disappointing that it feels so stiff. Washing helped soften it a bit, but not as much as I was hoping. I can't help but wonder if it's because they made it from recycled cotton. Washing is easy, just machine wash and dry. stitching was skipped, which happened to result in an odd long stitch. I expect the best quality from Vera Bradley. Made in China.
