I need to work on a laptop in my car a lot, sometimes for several hours a day. I have a desk that sits on the passenger seat with a slide-out. The side-out only reaches to a few inches past the center console causing me to sit sideways to be able to type. After long periods of sitting twisted to the right I develop back pains. I saw this on Walmart and decided to give it a try.Unboxing it I initially thought there was a mistake, it looks smaller that I expected. However, once I installed it on the steering wheel I feel that it's the perfect size. If it were any deeper I would have to move my seat back every time I use it. It fits the steering wheel well on my 2012 Ford Escape as long as it's turned slightly to the right or left - I assume that's a safety feature to prevent you from using it while driving. The reason for -1 star is that I wonder how it will hold up over time. I have been using it for about 3 weeks and it seems that it's starting to sag. It's a hollow, molded plastic and I fear that it's starting to bend. If it were made of solid plastic or wood it might feel more sturdy, but I'm sure that would drive the price up.
