The Cardinal Gate is a well-designed swing gate that mounts directly to the wall. I bought two of these to use as a dog barrier for my growing dogs. I didn't want a tension grid as larger dogs can easily knock it over. These gates work perfectly. They allow you to open the gate with one hand. They are solidly built and make a beautiful presentation. I only have a few recommendations for the company. I didn't use the screws that came with it because the threads are so thin I don't think they would work well for gripping wood. I replaced them with external screws that worked fine. The hex screws for adjusting the door width should be a bit longer. The distance between the two rails is almost too big to connect the screws tightly without going through the screw hole. They work but close. You can take these changes into account the next time you build. Otherwise it is a very nice and durable gate.
