filled with real silk, and there's plenty of that. This is a firm pillow so if you like something softer it may not work for you. Excellent neck support and hypoallergenic. If you haven't tried silk pillows or duvets yet, you should! I suffer from allergies, after just one night I woke up with clear sinuses. Who knew I was allergic to my memory foam pillows.
