Now that I've worn this hat for a few weeks, I'm pretty satisfied with it and recommend it. I wear it when I go hiking and walking. Please note, I live in an area with relatively mild winters - I think the lowest temperature I've worn the hat so far was in the mid to upper 30s. I haven't had a chance to test the hat in a truly cold climate yet. But, it did perform well when it was in the 40s and very windy and clammy.
