These are the best compression sleeves I have found on the market and I wear them 24/7 on my aching knee (torn meniscus). I'm not sure what they mean by bamboo, but it looks like a wool blend with about 10% Lycra. They are really very comfortable, very easy to put on and stay in place. They're not as compressible as other nylon and lycra sleeves, but unlike them, you can wear them all day without cutting off circulation. Less compression but a lot more warmth. They also make great ice pack holders. And they are also used as knee warmers when cycling in autumn/spring. My knee has improved a lot in the 15 weeks I've been using them and I can't prove it, but I think that's one of the reasons. For the price this is a steal. I have another Walgreens case that's three times the price and I'm not wearing it. I bought a second pair of these. If I could give them 6 stars I would. The "profitability" label disappears within 2 weeks. My original 2 pairs have stretched and tend to sag a bit, it's time for new ones. I am 68 years old and had surgery at 66 and have limited mobility. I now mountain bike 6-10 miles 4 days a week in warm weather and either XC or ski on my back for 45 minutes in winter weather. My knee never hurts! It's true, I've done all this before, but 2 years ago I started losing it. I was so lucky to find her before the surgery! And I still wear a pair 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except when they're being washed. EVERY orthopedic student in medical school should be aware of the therapeutic uses of these sleeves.
