We had Griffin Survivor cases for each of the 4 iPads and were happy with each one. One of the 2nd generation iPads still looks brand new and has only been taken out of its case a few times in 4 years. The only complaint we *had* is about the screen; Since it's actually part of the Griffin Survivor case, it's almost impossible to fix/replace an issue with it. Today I found a workaround! I had a ballistic glass screen protector that I had previously installed (used a different iPad case before deciding to upgrade to an iPad Pro. I have now switched a 5th gen iPad to my husband and he would like/ needs a Survivor shell). I was curious if the extra layer would fill that extra space and still maintain the screen's sensitivity/functionality, so I left the protective glass on the iPad and voila! There is no more space between the protective film and the screen of the iPad. It's comfortable to use and as responsive as if there were no interfaces between the iPad and the skin or stylus. So, for those who complained about the gaps and subsequent "bubbly" feeling between the screen protector and the surface of the iPad, that's it.
