Big Thorlos have arrived and they fit well. I sent back the Mediums (6-8.5) because they were too tight on the legs; The large ones fit my height 9ft exactly so be careful. The oversized socks also feel short (measuring 11 inches from the bottom to the top of the sock) and the tight fit around the shin doesn't feel durable. The first time I wore my Brooks straight out of the box was on the coldest day of the year, mostly indoors but also while eating (cold, not wet!). Brooks sneakers are not designed for cold weather, they are mostly mesh, and Thorlo socks did an excellent job of doing this. My feet never felt warm walking to and from the car and the tops never fell off. After the first wash, I wore them to work in a pair of Johnston & Murphy leather shoes. I work in a server room where the temperature is around 18 degrees Fahrenheit, so we usually wear sweaters and jackets to keep us comfortable. My feet stayed warm and by the end of the day they didn't feel wet anymore, so the Thorlos worked pretty well. It's been four weeks and four washes and they've held up pretty well. I'm still not sure if they'll stay on their feet and they're pretty small, but overall they're pretty decent.
