It was very loud. It sounded like a waffle iron when ready to use but kept flipping. The iron never got hot and I've ironed the fabric at least 8-9 times even with the steam function and it still kept the crease in the fabric. I need something that will allow my fabric to be flat and ready to cut. Roventa usually irons surprisingly well; However, this one could be faulty as it never got hot. I returned it with no problems.
