/EDIT/ It works well (I like the end recording feature and how it automatically returns the hand to the holder). I tried two different line out converters for phono stages on my amp (small preamps). Both send too much signal to my amp and there is a clipping indicator as soon as the music starts. The second preamp I try has input and output settings, but it's still very quirky and doesn't sound very good./<EDIT/ Not a crappy player, but a few things aren't mentioned (and might be common knowledge) . The RCA output is line level so you will need a line level to phono level adapter to connect it to your home amplifier. The assembly instructions are very vague. I missed the cap on the needle and nearly scratched my record. In general everything is fine. The built-in speakers sound good for low-volume listening. I noticed when I plugged this into my amp, the motor makes some noise, we'll see how it sounds after a while.
