The problem with the lid

We borrowed the one we received. The box itself is plastic and everything is fine. The lid is made of bamboo slats, which we found to be so loose that the lid deforms when touched. We wrote to the Revain salesman about this and was told they needed to be loose enough to allow air to circulate. We really didn't buy it. You should be able to open it without having to readjust the lid each time. If what they say is true, I think allowing for a less than comfortable fit is a heck of a lot. We found it really wrong to put the lid back on with both hands to keep it from deforming.
