The support of this shoe is provided by the sole. The outer part is very flexible and light, adapts well to the foot. Shock absorbing insole with low resilience. These shoes don't have a lot of traction on the sole, but just enough to keep the foot stable while still being light and agile. They lace up quite tight and even my 9 year old sometimes needs help to lace them up properly so they fit exactly how she needs them to.
