4/21/2015 I have taken the lens to a professional photo shop and for the last 4 months I have been buying cleaning products and lens cleaning kits and have noticed that there is dust and fiber in the lens all the time. The manufacturer has not ensured that the sides of the lenses are free of fibers and dust. I've emailed Rokinon aka Elite Brands and still no word from them. Update: April 27, 2015 I had to call Rokinon, EBI's luxury brand in NYC, and they ask you to pay for shipping and also to get insurance. because they are not held responsible for the damage but they claim it can take up to 10 business days which is a lie. My buddy told me he had to wait almost a month because the way they handle shipping is not common and that could be a problem. So the payout point of $15 for each path plus insurance takes at least 23 days. People make sure when you open the box and look at the lens and open the Isis at 1.5 and look closely. If you see fibers or dust spots on the lens, there is a chance that the lens has dust and dirt on the inside. Such an excellent lens for its price. Better than buying a Canon L lens or any other lens for almost $1500-$1900 when you can buy this lens with almost the same specs for less. In the near future I will buy another lens from Rokinon. Updated February 10, 2015, this lens will take some time to get used to due to the amount of light transmitted through the lens. Superb workmanship and lensUpdate: June 13, 2017 Having repaired my lens a while ago and now using it occasionally, I regret to report that I no longer have a lens as my studio was robbed, but this was the best lens to date shooting videos and making music videos and I still recommend this lens to everyone. Samyang has made great strides with their line of lenses and I hope you buy a lens for videographers.
