This is a good antenna for Baofeng UV-5R. It fits perfectly, I haven't noticed any blemishes, the threads at the base are very good. Velcro that holds it is good quality. Comes with a couple of spacers which I used as the instructions say they are great for installation. This antenna is not light, it is better made than I expected. I don't have an antenna analyzer so I tested it with an SWR meter because I don't want to damage my setup and for me it has shown great results. The reception is much better than the original antenna. I was amazed at how clearly I picked up some distant signals. I don't know if my transmission distance is better or if the sound is better. My friend has the same antenna/brand on his UV-5R and he said it was excellent so I bought it for myself and I'm glad I did. Hopefully someone will post new pictures of this antenna on an antenna analyzer or a photo of the SWR readings because that would be really helpful to people.
