I really wanted to like this product. In addition to the ability to cook quickly, this means extra work in the kitchen. Firstly, the cooking time is not exact as it takes 7-10 minutes to heat up before it even starts cooking. Then you have to consider what a mess that makes. You have the option to release the pressure naturally or quickly. The first time we used it we tried the quick release and tons of hot liquids from our food poured out the top where the handle is. It took another 15 minutes to safely release all the pressure without destroying the walls of the kitchen. The next day I tried the natural release method. Although I didn't touch it, hot liquids still ended up in our kitchen. I was very careful not to add too much food or liquid and it still lit. Then the purification process is terrible. Nothing can be washed in the dishwasher, and that's fine. However, you have to disassemble it completely to clean it well, because food and liquids get into every crack and crevice. I mean, trying to scrape food out of tight, unremovable spots is just plain ridiculous. Save yourself the hassle and buy a basic slow cooker and just start eating earlier!
