Reasonable replacement for AAA batteries

You may be tired of buying AAA batteries for various devices like remote controls and more. Although they are advertised as being compatible with a Panasonic cordless phone, this is something that among the various AAA goods you are unlikely to own these days. But fear not, these AAA batteries boldly go where all other AAA batteries used to go. They don't last (charge) as long as non-rechargeable ones and have a finite lifespan. (Usually that's 300 charges, but I can't say for sure.) Of course, the total lifespan is many times longer than a regular AAA, you just do a bunch of (re)charges in between. Please note that the rated voltage is 1.2. This is the lower limit of a usable value (a typical limit is 1.0), but it seems to be fairly stable. Conventional batteries start at a higher voltage, e.g. 1.6, falling below 1.0 and on the way to oblivion with increasing internal resistance as they are used and aged. (Some authorities state a lower limit of 0.7 volts. That's pretty low.) Remember: while it's nice to have rechargeable batteries, you'll also need, ahem, a charger ("sold separately") . The good thing is that you only have to buy the charger once and conventional chargers are suitable for different battery sizes. Buy a decent one, it's worth it. If possible, use slow charging instead of fast charging, since slow charging is less harmful to the battery. The only non-recommended use of these batteries is on the go. If you don't want to carry a charger with you, it's easier to buy a set of regular batteries. But definitely 5 stars for those of us who want a top-up.
