We have trouble removing corks from old wine with a corkscrew. I really hated the bits of cork that ended up in the bottle when the cork was pierced. At a virtual wine tasting during closing time, we heard praise from the opener of Ah So. I did a quick research and settled on this one. My wife and I learned to use this knife pretty quickly. Obviously this is the best way to remove cork from cork. We did not try to remove the "plastic cork". If the wine is expensive and old, then this is the best option for removing the cork.
