Review on ๐Ÿก Sengled SmartThings Outdoor: Google Integration Required for Superior Smart Home Experience by Paul Gravely

good wall powered motion sensor, bright light too

This is the only smart outdoor light bulb I could find with a built in motion sensor. I connected to a 2nd gen Smart Stuff hub and added the Smart Stuff skill to Alexa. I placed it under the covered porch ceiling. Going under easily triggers the motion sensor, this place is a great spot to detect real movement (only for those going under my porch to deliver packages for example). I've integrated smart things into the home assistant that also uses MQTT (hard project). The delay is 1-3 seconds to use information and notify smart devices around the house. There was no pairing information in the package. Googling found that the light turns off 10 times to enter pairing mode. I used the Smartthings Classic app. *** Update 07/28/2019 *** I downgrade from 5 stars to 4 stars because the motion sensor is too sensitive at night. There is no way to reduce motion sensitivity on the Smartthings Hub. All I could do was turn them off automatically within 1 minute from the Smartthings Classic app. I also had to set limits on when I would use motion sensitivity to send alerts.

Pros
  • Built-in Motion & Daylight Sensors: The light will turn on automatically for 90 seconds when motion is detected within 30 feet. Wide-angle detection detects movement in a 100-degree field of view. The daylight sensor ensures that the light bulb does not turn on during the day.
Cons
  • Not sure
