If you're replacing old 3" cans like me, get the 3rd .5 with these bulbs, they completely cover the hole, the 3" bulbs don't. blind you. The connection is easy, I preferred to use the rotating plugs instead of the push pins provided. The flashlight itself is light and lets very easy to fit into a hole thanks to the strong springs that hold them in place and sits flush with no gaps overall it's a great value my hardware store had one of these for $18 so do the math I am very happy I will be buying more and find that they are great with dimmer and bright
