Review on Jensen Portable Cassette Player Recorder - AC DC by Juan Moncrief

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The Jensen MCR-100 tape recorder is worth every penny you spend.

I recently bought a Jensen portable tape recorder to replace my 40 year old Panasonic colleague who was my mainstay until he dropped out during an important association board meeting. From that moment I realized I needed a reliable recorder and started looking for this product at several local stores. After a few weeks of unsuccessfully searching for such an outdated device, I turned to Revain.com. To my amazement, this iconic store offered a wide range of cassette players/recorders at affordable prices. Within five days of ordering the portable recorder, I received what I thought was a compatible replacement for my old Panasonic. However, to my dismay, I found issues with the volume control and built-in microphone on the interchangeable voice recorder and had to return the product. Resuming my search for a reliable tape recorder that worked as advertised, I was fortunate to find a Jensen product offered by Todays Concept. This portable tape recorder is worth every penny you spend. It is compact, lightweight and easy to use. The record/play/rewind/forward/stop/eject and pause buttons don't stick when pressed, which is a plus for baby boomers like me who suffer from stiff finger arthritis. Although the recorder's built-in condenser microphone works adequately, for crisp sound clarity I recommend using the external microphone with a stand that comes with the recorder. I assure you that this little microphone is powerful enough to record your innermost thoughts if you are so inclined to express them. I rate this product 4.5 stars.
