This is a great watch for kids. I like that the numbers are big and easy to see and the minute numbers make it easier to tell the time. The hands even have the inscriptions "hour" and "minute". I actually bought this for my young son to stop picking at the skin on his fingers. We've been working on it, but I wanted him to have a backup strategy so he doesn't learn to hide charges or do anything else that could hurt. We taught him that when he feels the need to do something with his fingers, like plucking leather, can instead run his fingers over the jagged lines of a watch strap. It helps that "Cars" is his favorite movie! It worked very well. His fingers have healed and I rarely see him touch the watch strap, but he seems more comfortable in it. My only complaint about this watch is that the mater part of the strap is too wide for the metal clasp. You can push it through somehow, but then the other little piece of metal doesn't fit that little hole so well, and the whole time you're trying to do that you're holding this little wrist you don't have. not have. I don't want to apply. So we just go up a size and all the clocks move, which isn't a big deal but it's a bit annoying.
