Decent camera, few flaws.

This camera delivers what it promises. Obviously digital zoom is crap, digital zoom is inherently crap for any camera that has it, and it probably shouldn't be there at all. Advantages: > Small. When I say small, I mean tiny. Fits in a shirt pocket. >Great, crystal clear video. It even does a great job of getting clear images of specimens through a standard microscope eyepiece! > Fast focusing in good light > Turns on in about 2 seconds. From complete shutdown to video recording. > Huge LCD screen so you can see exactly what you're filming. > With external memory. You can mount the 32GB SD chip for over six hours of the highest quality HD content it can hold. > Convenient docking station. No more plugging and unplugging cables every time I want to download a video to my computer. When you place your device in the docking bay, it charges. When the docking station is connected to your computer and you press the button, the device connects to your computer like an external drive. No driver installation required.>Format. The HD format is compatible with YouTube's HD video technology on the right side of the camera. You can upload the file to YouTube directly from the camera card and it will be displayed in high resolution. Pros, so many manufacturers fail, I thought I'd mention it here too. Sanyo doesn't fail at all. I've shot all day between nightly charges and haven't lost a single bar of battery life. (Every time you close the screen, the camera turns off. When you open it, it turns on. Saves a lot of power.) > The sound quality is excellent. No complaints! > Extremely intuitive controls. My grandmother could use this camera. It is controlled entirely with the right thumb with a series of obvious and easily accessible buttons/joysticks. Cons: > Outer case rings easily. It is a very thin metal that bends easily. I can say that this does not affect structural integrity, but I would advise being very careful with the camera: > Poor focus and noise in low light. The camera does not focus well in low light, and noise is very noticeable in low light. But even cheap noise reduction software will clean it up very well, so it's not a big deal to me. The noise reduction filter built into the camera is good, but not enough for really clean and sharp videos. > N/A. This is a really good camera. If you want a digital camcorder that records in high definition and doesn't need the 30x zoom or other features of more expensive models, go for this one. This is solid rock.
