The quality is excellent. It's thick, but not so thick that it won't ride over a train (which is what we planned). The hole for the trunk is very small (just enough for the trunk) so the first tie had to be left open to accommodate our stand and now it doesn't lay flat around the tree like it should. Because it has to go up and over our stand, it's very small under our tree. We have a 7-8 foot tall silver fir and it doesn't even reach the edge of the tree so I don't think we can put a train in it this year. We can look for another coaster next year, better to match the skirt because it's good. Just something to think about - think about your tree stand. This skirt isn't going to work well with everyone, especially if the stand has screws that slide out like ours.
