My daughter is 6 years old and very tall for her age. She wears a size 10 in both top and bottoms. I ordered a 10/12 leotard hoping she would give her space as she is wearing it to a dance. I received a 12/14 and although the shirt is long it is too small. Instead she will wear a size 7/8 Limited Too shirt because it fits her better. Her friend who is a size 6 will use the 12/14 I received. If you want something long and tight for your daughter, this is it. If you want it to match her shape, stay away. I gave two stars because the shirt is of good quality and can be used, although the size for a child is half the label.
