Review on Coffee maker VITEK VT-1517 BN, brown by Edyta Adamczewska ᠌

Poor product, the quality is below average.

This coffee maker is a great example of how not to make coffee makers. Yes, it provides an opportunity for experimentation and does not impose stupid restrictions like some capsule coffee makers, but I'm not a medieval alchemist to be in the eternal search for that very philosopher's stone called "coffee". For a 2022 person who is used to drinking coffee in large glasses, this small portion of espresso is like a cat crying. Double espresso - twice crying. Everything that I wrote in shortcomings is generally tolerable; it would be tolerable if the taste of the coffee was normal. But here's the problem - it doesn't taste like it. Having tried a bunch of different varieties from cheap to expensive, using a variety of water from filtered to distilled, experimenting with grinding, volume and tamping of coffee, it was not possible to reach the level "at least like in a coffee shop". Latte/cappuccino soften this tragic "oil painting" a little due to the fact that milk masks the taste of coffee, but this is of little relevance to me. I rarely drink coffee milk drinks. Yes, there is foam here (albeit a dead one), but cappuccino technology is turned inside out: this devilish machine pours espresso into milk. I would like to look into the eyes of those who designed this machine, and see at least a shadow of repentance there. In short, Vitek is Vitek.

Pros
  • - more or less nice design, although plastic - convenient refilling of water - Nice blue indicator lights
Cons
  • - no cup warmer (declared) - impossible to prepare two cups at the same time (stated) - spraying milk from the cappuccinator tube past the cup - the rectangular shape of the cappuccinatore makes it difficult to wash in the corners - no foolproof cappuccino preparation (cappuccino tube and latte/cappuccino/cleaning knob) - if the capacity of the cappuccinatore is not in the coffee maker, then it is difficult to determine the moment when the coffee maker enters the operating mode (when preparing espresso) - fine grinding of coffee + a slightly stronger rammer and the pump power is no longer enough to pump water through the horn - the algorithm for making cappuccino and latte is broken - double duplication of controls (latte/cappuccino) - if you poured little milk for a serving, then the machine "jams" the program and it blows steam for a long time, instead of adding espresso already - over time, began to pour more water when preparing espresso - the main drawback: the disgusting taste of coffee
