Review on πŸ”Œ Mediabridge 30-002-10B USB 2.0 with Gold Plating by Chris Sweeton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

2 out of 3 work fine - one broken socket

Works as advertised, no problems. I use 3 of these as I have an Alienware backlit keyboard that accepts 2 USB2 ports and a mouse, on an L shaped desk with a computer on the other side of the longer piece. It is not necessary to test the connection speed as keyboards and mice are fairly slow transmission devices, but they are just as responsive as when plugged directly into the front ports of the PC. The gold-plated connectors are definitely worth the price for the uptime. Updated 01/03/2016. One of them seems to have a loose end of a female adapter as I've noticed it can wobble when I plug in the keyboard's USB connector. a bit - not a secure connection like the other two cables. As a result, the connection drops once every few weeks, requiring me to crawl under the table and reset it. I've tried using a zip tie to secure the plug in the outlet adapter, but it didn't help. So I downgraded my rating from 5 to 3 stars because 2 out of 3 cables work fine. I've ordered a 10ft extension from Cable Matters - it costs a little more but hopefully the quality control is a little better, although I've noticed some feedback of a loose connection as well.
