I added a monitor stand to my desktop. I used a 4" clamp at first and liked that I could find a way to test this. With a 4 inch clamp, the Height Adjustable Desk - VARIDESK Pro Plus 36 - Black couldn't go all the way down, but I was fine with that. This weekend I drilled a hole in the top of the table and attached the bracket with a 4" grommet. The bar table is now fully adjustable. Little did I know when I ordered the mount that a 4" socket would fit through a table with a hole in it. I think this is a useful feature for those of you who have a table that you can't clamp onto and don't want to drill a hole. Mounting the monitor is more stable than mounting the monitor on a stand. One of my old monitors didn't have a VESA mount so I left it on the stand. The old monitor wobbled, but the new one barely moved. I love that it's fully adjustable! I have two 24" monitors. I moved the monitor mount to fit my desk configuration. This allowed me to fully extend the left monitor arm and then adjust the right arm next to it. I use the included wrenches to adjust the tension on the levers. I will try to add photos with new monitors.
