The assembly instructions consist of a sketch in German and English. For me this led to trial and error on how to assemble the scratching post. It looks better than what I could build myself. Some parts are of poor quality. The plastic piece in the post holding the bed broke when I was assembling it. I contacted the seller and they were able to find and send me a replacement. After that I was a bit concerned that the product would stick together when my cats jump on and off. They don't use the bed much and it handles the force of their leaps onto and off of it quite well. I have two cats and both love it. A cat weighs less than 9 pounds. and hardly fit in the apartment. The second weighs about 9.5 kg. and doesn't fit at all. Surprisingly, after many hard games, the hanging mice are still there. The toy with the bobble didn't take root either. A cat cut the rope within seconds after playing with it. One of my cats likes to play with the rope and the other doesn't care that it's there.
