All the reviews about not being able to hold anything other than a water bottle are true. But it can be fixed with a little effort. I did it that way. I took a hole saw that was slightly smaller than the diameter of the outer plastic part. Hot glue glued some fine sandpaper to the outside and then drilled out the bezise from a piece of styrofoam where the bottle would fit. I worked on this for about an hour and ended up finding something that fits in a decent sized vacuum mug without touching the hard plastic exterior. Why did I go through all this? Because I've been looking for the perfect drink holder for my horse for years and this one came really close, so it was worth the effort. There are many expensive roller coasters that have some deal-killing flaws. with a little love, this one makes the cut. I toned down the finish to better match my bike and sprayed some spray on the rubber as well.
