I was ready to be disappointed. Neck pillows should never appear to actually support the neck. I thought the shape of the ruffs looked appropriate, but I was concerned it wouldn't be enough. It's better than I expected, but not perfect. I really feel the support under my neck and it's better than anything I've tried. I just wish there were more of these. I have to raise my neck more or lower my head more to get everything aligned as it should. I think if I had a smaller head it would be correct. Unfortunately I have a huge head. I can't buy one size hats or anything like that. I love the winged things on the sides. I didn't even know I needed them until I tried them. That's great to be on my side. Also, it saves me space to put my hand on it. I have RA It really hurts to sleep on my arm but I have to do it anyway. This pillow stopped me from doing that. I would classify the pillow as "semi-hard". I think everything is fine, except for the neck area. What frustrates me the most is that the ad is lying. It says that this pillow comes with an adjustable part to make it thinner or thicker. It is not. I hate false advertising. I am tempted to return it for these reasons alone. If the advertising is intended to be misleading, the product does not deserve success. There is no excuse. No one. Read reviews before buying. One mentioned this but I hoped it was a mistake. That review said they had to call to get an extra piece. nope That's not normal. If it is part of it, it should be listed in the appendix. I have to decide if it's worth my hassle to return it. This is really very bad. If it had an extra plate it could fit my big head better.
